about

The River: A Songwriter’s Stories of the South is the soundtrack to Coyote Motel’s debut film and is the latest chapter in the band’s cosmic roots music. At this posting, it is rising on the Americana album radio charts and the film is playing festivals and has already won awards for Best Original Soundtrack and Best International Feature Film. The film and soundtrack explore the lives, lore, and locales along the Cumberland, Mississippi, and Tallahatchie rivers. In addition to the musical performances on the soundtrack and in the film, the movie weaves a beautiful creative web of storytelling, psychedelic light art, aerial dance, and cultural history. It is a one-of-a-kind experience.
